Julie Krieger, President
Ms. Krieger joined the Board in 1987 and became Treasurer of the Board in 1993. She has continued to hold this position for the past 14 years. Ms. Krieger currently holds the position of Vice President & Group Manager of the Middle Market Commercial Banking Division for M&T Bank in the Hudson Valley. She is a graduate of Marist College. Julie was appointed President of the Board of Directors in 2015.
Joseph Beichert, First Vice President
Mr. Beichert joined the Board in 2009. He was born and raised in Ulster County and he and his family currently reside in Kingston. Mr. Beichert received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1999 from George Washington University in Washing ton, D.C. He is the Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Timely Signs, Inc. since 2000. He is also an active member of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce.
Paul Geary, Second Vice President
Mr. Geary joined the Board in 1997. Mr. Geary was elected to the position of Secretary in 2000 and was elected Second Vice President in 2001. A lifelong resident of Kingston and graduate of Marist College, Mr. Geary retired from 23 years of service with IBM and is the associate funeral director with Keyser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. and A. Carr & Son Funeral Home.
Donna Rocap, Treasurer
Ms. Rocap joined the board in 2003. She formerly held positions at Fleet Bank and Sperry Cuono, Holgate and Churchill Accountants. She is currently the Associate Dean of Administration at Dutchess Community College. Ms. Rocap is on the Audit & Finance and Program Committees.
Howard Whitaker, Secretary
Mr. Whitaker lives in Kingston and has been a board member since 1985. He was a former board President, served as second Vice President and was a member at large on the Executive Committee of the board. Mr. Whitaker is retired from IBM. He currently holds a position as a real estate agent for O'Connor, Kershaw Real Estate.
Terry Parisian, At-Large Member
Mr. Parisian joined the Board in 2015. He has been a Saugerties resident for over 40 years. Terry is employed in property management with Newburgh Mall Realty, LLC, as General Manager. He has volunteered his time to many youth activities as well as taken an active role in guiding the educational and economic well-being of Ulster County. He has served as a Trustee on the Saugerties Board of Education, President of the Ulster County School Boards Association, and Board Chair of the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce and is currently a Trustee for the Village of Saugerties.
Donald Holzhammer, Member
Mr. Holzhammer joined the Board of Directors of UCP in 1988 and became President of the Board in 2000-2015.
Mr. Holzhammer has earned numerous insurance industry awards, including recognition in the Million Dollar Round Table, for life insurance sales.
Lewis C. Kirschner, Member
Mr. Kirschner has served on the Board for four decades. He initially joined in 1966. He served on the Building Committee to raise funds for the Agency’s Community Rehabilitation Center. Lew is serving his ninth term as Ulster County Treasurer and prior to that served as County Legislator. Lew is very active in the community and has served on a wide variety of not for profits boards.
James McCasland, Member
Mr. McCasland is a former banker and has held various managerial positions for several companies. He has served on the UCP board since 1999. He is a current member of the Program Committee of the board.
Frances "Linda" Reuter, Member
Ms. Reuter has been a board member since 1995. She is currently chairperson of the Program Committee of the Board of Directors. Ms. Reuter has a strong background in the hospital finance field and computer operations. She is currently retired.
Samantha Awand-Gortel, Member
Ms. Awand-Gortel is a lifelong resident of Lanesville which falls between Hunter Mountain in Greene County and Phoenicia in Ulster County. She graduated with a BS in Sociology from Wingate University in NC in 2008 and has been working with the public at Ulster Savings Bank for 10 years. She is a member of the Phoenicia Rotary and is also a member of the Phoenicia Business Association, and the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce Leadership class of 2018.
