ADULT DAY TREATMENT
The Day Treatment Program has been designed as a service providing adults who have disabilities with a supportive and structured environment in order to maximize their opportunities for learning.
Program participants are expected to meet the eligibility criteria identified within the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Operating Standards for Day Treatment. As a result, it is anticipated that every person served will meet one of the categorical definitions of developmental disability, that is have a current diagnosis which indicates a severe chronic disability. A comprehensive Individual Service Plan is developed based on clinical assessments of the individual’s strengths and needs in the areas of: motor function, communication, daily living skills, recreational and vocational interests/capacities, cognitive abilities and socialization. All of the clinical services recommended within this plan are provided by the Agency.
Day treatment and Clinical Staff meet all the necessary qualifications according to the New York State Department of Health and the New York State Department of Education.
