Current Positions

Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper

Full time position available for a detail oriented self-starter as an Account Receivable bookkeeper in out accounting department.  Duties include: reconciliation of financial accounts and records related to accounts receivable; generate bills, debit/credit memos; posting of cash receipts to GL accounts; and analysis and resolution of discrepancies between involved, paid and outstanding A/R accounts.  Qualifications are strong analytical and communication skills, in-depth knowledge of computer spreadsheets, Microsoft Word and computerized accounting.  Medical insurance billing experience or background is a plus.  Valid NYS Drivers License required.

Physical Therapist

Due to expansion, we are accepting applications for a talented, innovative Physical Therapist with New York State’s licensure/certification to provide therapy services and evaluations. Knowledge of developmental disabilities, experience working with persons with disabilities, proven capacity to participate in teams comprised of professional educators and support staff,  and experience working in a not for profit agency are preferred.

This is a part-time position – 21 hours/3 days per week.  Hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and offers paid school vacations and closings as well as benefits.

Speech Language Pathologist

Coordinator of Medical Services

Due to an expansion of our programs we are looking to hire a Coordinator of Medical Services to join us as a member of our senior management team.  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner looking to incorporate their clinical skills in a managerial position.  Your role would be to provide clinical/nursing oversight and supervision to all Agency nurses to ensure that comprehensive, quality medical services are being provided.  The Coordinator is responsible for the training of nurses, the recruitment and selection of all nursing staff and oversight of services to ensure regulatory compliance.  Quality assurance support for nursing issues within each program in coordination with our Quality Assurance and Corporate Compliance Departments is also part of the day to day responsibilities of the position.

We are seeking candidates that have experience working with Department of Health regulated agencies.  The candidate should have experience serving individuals with disabilities, experience supervising nurses and developing policies and procedures ensuring that programs follow applicable local, state and federal health care regulations.

Registered Nurse

At this time we have an opening available for a caring, dedicated R.N for a full time position to oversee the medical care of individuals with multiple disabilities who reside in our residences.  The position offers a competitive salary and benefits and a chance to work closely with a dedicated team.

LPN

At this time we have a position available for a caring, dedicated LPN for a part time 20 hour per week position to provide medical care to adults with multiple disabilities who reside in our residences in Saugerties and Lake Katrine.

Residential Manager – Oberkirch Residence

We are looking for an experienced manager who has the capacity to motivate, model and advocate for persons with disabilities and our staff.  Daily responsibilities include ensuring that persons with disabilities are provided with the highest quality care, developing and leading recreational programming, maintaining compliance with OPWDD regulations, assisting with the management of consumer and agency budgets and coordinating staffing assignments.

The Manager is an integral part of a dedicated team of professionals.  Senior administration, direct support professionals, nurses, clinicians and families all work together ensuring each person receiving services succeeds on their personal outcome measures and that our staff have the skills they need to provide high quality professional services.

The person applying for this position should have a minimum of 3+ years management/supervisory experience in a residential setting for persons with developmental disabilities. An Associates or Bachelor’s degree with at least three years experience in the field of developmental disabilities, is preferred.  This position offers an excellent salary and benefit package that includes medical, vacation, retirement plan and more.

Community Services QA/Homefinder/Recruiter – Wraparound Community Services

Cerebral Palsy of Ulster County has a 60 year history of providing quality, innovative services to persons with disabilities throughout the Hudson Valley.  One of these innovations is the Wraparound Community Services (WCS) program.  We are currently accepting applications for the position of Quality Assurance/Homefinder/Recruiter to ensure the program maintains a sufficient number of quality Family Care Providers to meet the outcomes established by the program.

Primary responsibilities include oversight of all Family Care Provider recruitment activities, completion of the homestudy process including all required documentation and clearances, and creating and providing training to families who have applied to become providers.

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in a Human Services field, experience in completing assessments on individuals or families and experience providing training to staff and community members.

Direct Support Professionals – Wraparound Community Services

Cerebral Palsy of Ulster County and Inspire of Orange County have partnered to open Wraparound Community Services (WCS) – an innovative program which provides intensive in-home supports for persons with disabilities and their caretakers.  WCS offers a community based alternative to residential care without compromising quality or safety.

A key member of the WCS team, the DSP will work with the individual and the caregiver in the home and community consistent with the person centered plan developed for the individual.  The DSP will be responsible for forming a strong, positive, supportive relationship with the person participating in services and their support system.  DSPs will be responsible to provide assistance with daily services and community based recreational, respite and day habilitation. Specific responsibilities include:

Provide weekend community socialization activities

Provide individual programming

Provide in-home supports during emergencies

Provide assistance as needed for the people participating in the program when the caregiver has scheduling conflicts

Develop a strong relationship with the person participating in the program

Assist in coordinating contact with members of the individual’s Circle of Support

Participate in WCS team meetings and trainings

Participate in training on the national DSP competencies

Participation in the development and delivery of the person centered plan

To qualify, a high school diploma/GED and valid NYS Drivers License are required.

Flexible work hours. Full and part time positions available – weekends, evenings, mornings.  Part-time  positions are an excellent opportunity for additional income for experienced DSPs.
