HUDSON VALLEY REGIONAL TRAID CENTER
The Hudson Valley Regional TRAID Center at Cerebral Palsy of Ulster County is one of 12 sites in New York State dedicated to providing information and referral services regarding assistive technology. Assistive device demonstrations, funding information and a TRAID loan library (toys, adaptive equipment and devices) are available at the TRAID Center. Available within the library are many adaptive devices for people of all ages and toys for children birth to three in the Early Intervention Program.
Any device that helps people accomplish everyday tasks can be considered assistive technology. Applications range from "high tech" augmentative communication devices and computers to "low tech" devices such as canes, weighted spoons, and switch toys.
